Youth Sailing Camp

The six-week Castleton Adventure Camp is in its 4th year. It runs Monday - Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Three days a week the camp is housed in the Castleton Recreation Center where the campers are involved in games, nature walks, visits to the Castleton River to learn about habitat and they also are able to swim at VTSU on those days. Three afternoons a week, the camp runs out of Crystal Beach where campers have access to arts & crafts, basketball, volleyball, boccie, play structures and lots of water fun. The majority of the staff are educators from our area elementary schools. Each day the campers get a free breakfast and lunch through a school district grant. The summer camp is self-supporting and does not ask for any tax payer money.
